Millions of peoples use cell phones or mobile phones to access internet and some of them also use their mobile phones as a modem while accessing internet on PC and Laptops. There are so many tricks available to increase the browsing speed but most of them are just waste of time, So is there any way to increase or boost Internet surfing speed on PC for Mobile GPRS? Yes a fine working trick is TCP/IP trick or DNS Trick. I also have explained in my earlier post about how to increase GPRS speed by changing modem properties. This time i bring a nice trick which will give you better browsing experience then ever. Follow the instructions below to apply this GPRS trick.
DNS ( Domain Name Server) can be used to increase you browsing or surfing speed. You only have to make little change in your Internet Protocol settings for DNS. By default all mobile networks uses their own DNS which are quiet slow due to heavy traffic. But if you use any other DNS you can increase GPRS speed while using your phone as a modem to access internet via PC or Laptop. To make changes follow these.
- Go To ->> Start ->> Connect To ->> Show All Connections ->> Dial Up
- Now Choose the desired connection.
- Go To ->> Properties ->>
- Networking >> Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) ->> Properties ->> Now select USe Following DNS Addresses.
- Now you have to add two DNS addresses given below.
- 208.44.108.136 and 124.40.52.132
- Now save all settings and exit. You are done, Now enjoy better browsing.
Note: The screenshot at the top showing the window where you have to add DNS addresses. Please do this very carefully. And if any doubt please first ask. Don’t make any extra change. Also we are not responsible for any issue. Do this all on your own risk.
