Have you heard the term “Blue-Jacking” – What is this? Today most of atleast every multimedia and business phone comes with Bluetooth, and most of people use this to communicate with other devices for sharing data between them. But it is also a great door for viruses to reach your mobile phone folders. Blue-Jacking is a well known term for professionals but most of common people don’t know anything about it. So let me explain a little about it.
Its when people send out random pictures or messages (generally containing a virus) to random phones. If you accept it there is then the chance that this message you receive will add a virus onto your mobile handset.
Do not accept Bluetooth messages from any unknown sources to avoid receiving unwanted virus’s. It is also advisable to ‘hide your handsets visibility’ so other devices do not see your handset. This can be found under ‘Bluetooth’ in your main menu settings.
