Blackberry launches Blackberry App World 2.0

Today RIM corrected that problem of older app world and brought many more new features with the release of BlackBerry App World 2.0. The release of App World 2.0 brings the ability for devs to sell apps for 99 cents or $1.99, as well as an updated UI, credit card billing, QR code scanning, the ability to charge app purchases to your wireless bill (only available from select carriers right now), and a new BlackBerry ID system that allows users to transfer their downloaded apps to a new device if they switch.

The update is currently being rolled out, and all BlackBerry owners should see notification of the update within the next few hours. It mean that they wanted to keep junk out of their store, but cheap apps are extremely popular, as evidenced by the fact that eight of the top ten apps on Apple’s App Store are only 99 cents. With all of the new enhancements that version 2.0 has brought to the App World, I wouldn’t be surprised to see both consumer and developer interest skyrocket. Have any of you BlackBerry owners out there already updated to App World 2.0?
